Liturgical based religious education for public school attendees. Faith Formaition prepares the children for First Communion and Confirmation, as well as, provides education in Catholic Doctrine and Scripture.
Blessed Sacrament is blessed to have over 10 catechists working with our young people. All of our catechists have been trained and most of them are certified as Catechists, or working toward certification through our Diocese. They have all been through fingerprinting and background checks and have completed their Safe Environment Training through the Diocese.
Blessed Sacrament offers a liturgically based catechetical program and offers it not just to the young, but to the entire family. The emphasis of our Life-Long Faith Formation Program, which is comprised of K through 12th grade and beyond, is a family/church partnership. Families, catechists and the entire parish works together to promote a lifelong relationship with God our Father. The goups learn about our Catholic Faith and apply it to our daily lives through prayer, worship, and community outreach. This program utilizes several resources, including, but not limited to: The Catechism of the Catholic Church, Faith First & RCL Benziger www.faithfirst.com, K4J (Kids 4 Jesus), Lighthouse Publications, and Our Daily Bread Publications.
