If I Can Only See!

An artist who creates a beautiful painting aims for us to fully appreciate it. As we know,
religious images frequently portray familiar stories from the Gospels or the lives of
saints. If we’re unfamiliar with the scene or the saint, the painter might feel disappointed
because we miss the entire meaning.

Just as there’s a story behind each picture, every parable Jesus shares also holds a
special story—our story. Every day, Jesus lovingly adds a new chapter to our lives. The
only question is whether we will hand over the brush to Him.

If we hold the brush and paint what we enjoy in the moment, all everyone sees is a
picture that lacks meaning and value. We will continue to modify it to meet our
immediate needs.

We would be like those Jesus described who “look but do not see and hear but do not
understand” his parables. Understanding his parables is essential for us to truly see and
listen.

Gospel Challenge:
What happens if we hand Jesus the brush?

What story does he want to share with others through our picture? Share your story with
Jesus first. It will amaze you what you will see.

Love Your Neighbor!
