Dear Parishioners,
Thank you to everyone who has been lending a helping hand across our parish facilities! We are making steady progress and knocking projects off our list one by one. Here is a quick update on where things stand:
Ongoing & Upcoming Projects
- Church Moisture Control: Signs have been placed at all four side entry doors asking everyone to use the main entrance for the time being. Thank you, Fred, for making the announcement at Mass.
- Church Ceiling: Next week, temperature and humidity sensors will be placed throughout the church. Additionally, the mitigation company and the Diocese will be onsite to develop a plan to address the A/C tracks and affected ceiling tiles.
- Men’s Restrooms: Two additional plumbers will be onsite next week to run diagnostics on the toilets and urinals. We currently have one quote recommending a full rebuild of the flushing components, but we are seeking additional opinions to ensure we take the most practical and cost-effective approach before moving forward.
- Exterior Side Doors: In about two weeks, Rick and Tony will paint the four exterior side doors of the church.
- Ushers & Nurses Room Door Locks: Battery replacements for both code locks are scheduled for next week.
- Computer Migration: Planning is underway to migrate our parish computer systems over the weekend of October 11. More information and instructions will follow shortly.
Completed Improvements & Maintenance
- Chapel Door: Rick repaired the sticking exterior chapel door, and it is now opening smoothly.
- Wasp Nests: Rick cleared the wasp nests around the main church entry doors.
- Church Emblem: Tony Romano finished painting the emblem above the front entrance.
- Altar Wall: A special thanks to the Knights of Columbus for painting the back wall behind the cross.
- Blessed Sacrament Sign: Rick gave the sign a thorough cleaning.
- Church Chandeliers: All light bulbs in the chandeliers have been fully replaced.
- Sacristy Door Lock: Fresh batteries were installed in the code lock this past Friday.
Thank you again to all our volunteers, staff, and contractors for keeping our grounds and worship spaces in great shape. We appreciate your patience and support as these facility projects continue!
Blessings,
Chuck Wrich
