The celebration honoring the birth of our beloved Mother Mary is one of the oldest feasts dedicated to Mary, dating back to the 2nd century. A hymn dedicated to her, “Mary, the Dawn,” beautifully describes her relationship with her Son, Jesus: “Mary for Dawn, Christ the Perfect Day.”
The radiant Light in Mother Mary reached its peak in Jesus. From her conception, she was filled with grace, born to bring us Jesus, our hope. Her influence spans centuries as she guides and protects all her children.
With Mother Mary’s intercession, may we live fully in her Son, Jesus, embracing His teachings and example of love and compassion. Let His presence guide us and inspire our love to overflow into others, spreading His light and love worldwide.
Gospel Challenge: With pure intentions, let us pray together, invoking the intercession of our Mother Mary: “Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come; before you, I stand sinful and sorrowful. Oh, Mother of the Word Incarnate! Despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.”
