Do you find peace of mind fills your person when you trust the Lord’s care for you? On the flip side, when you have to make everything work out the way you desire, worry and anxiety overwhelm you.
The master put much trust in the servants. Rather than being grateful to the vineyard’s owner, they were self-seeking, jealous, power-hungry, and even murderous. The servants in today’s parable told by Jesus did not become that way overnight.
How did they get that way? They were violent towards the servants and the Son because they were violent to themselves internally. They had no healthy love or respect for themselves. They allowed greed and material goods to fill up the emptiness in their hearts. And it never could, and it never will.
Even worse, they didn’t trust the owner who gave them everything and only asked they give them back his due. And what was his due? Not just the goods at the end of the harvest, but first their loyalty and trust in him.
It’s incredible how much good God can accomplish through us when we trust him completely. As a child trusts mom and dad that he won’t go hungry, we trust God, who will always provide for us.
St. Faustina wrote in her diary, “Encourage the souls with whom you come in contact to trust in My infinite mercy. Oh, how I love those souls who have complete confidence in Me – I will do everything for them.”
Gospel Challenge:
