I remember a movie about Mother Teresa of Calcutta, *No Greater Love*. Many times, she brought tears to my eyes. Christ was so present in her that you couldn’t see Mother anymore. Indeed, the Kingdom of God came through Mother Teresa.
Jesus told us in the gospel that we cannot observe His Kingdom like we do a physical place or event. The qualities of God’s Kingdom are inside a person who loves others more than themselves.
You can’t see love, but you can feel it in your heart. You can’t view mercy with your eyes, but you know when someone has forgiven you. The Kingdom of God is within.
Joy, peace, and faithfulness—these are all fruits of the Holy Spirit, God’s love within us. We experience them when we love, show mercy, and turn the other cheek.
Consider the moments when God calls us to sacrifice for someone who lacks material possessions or is spiritually in need.
Please consider the times we have chosen humility by taking the last seat or by being honest with ourselves or someone else, rather than being deceitful. God’s Kingdom is truly within us.
Gospel Challenge: God will be with us whenever we love others more than ourselves. Where will God reign in you today? There is no greater love than God’s love within us, doing whatever pleases Him.
