Someone gave me the book *Consecration to St. Joseph, The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father* (Fr. Donald H. Calloway, MIC). I started the 33-day retreat, hoping it would impact my life like the Consecration to Mother Mary did 10 years ago. It truly did!

When I made the Consecration to Mother Mary, she became present to me. I can’t really describe it, except to say she’s by my side 24-7. The same thing happened when I completed the 33 Days to St. Joseph. He gives me the confidence and trust that it doesn’t all depend on me.

Since my consecration to St. Joseph, I have found a deep sense of confidence in his guidance. Just as he led Mother Mary and Jesus to safety in Bethlehem and Egypt, I believe he will lead us, our parish, and our school.

Think about the challenges he encountered on that 200-mile journey: robbers, wild animals, and the unpredictable nature of relying on others for hospitality. Despite these dangers, he was lovingly chosen by God to protect the spouse of the Holy Spirit and God’s own Son. He is our father and guardian in life, too, offering us a sense of security amid life’s uncertainties. Trust in his protection can bring peace in difficult times.

Many saints and popes believe that all the gifts and powers of intercession granted to individual saints are united in St. Joseph. He is a human father chosen by our Heavenly Father to guide, protect, and help us fulfill His will.

I invite you to consider and pray about making the Consecration to St. Joseph. If you’re unsure how to begin, I encourage you to explore the 33-day retreat outlined in Fr. Calloway’s book, which provides clear steps. St. Joseph is prepared to guide you in nurturing your family to live in a way that is worthy of God in this increasingly secular world. Join me and others on this journey with St. Joseph, and let’s walk this path together as a community.

St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus, pray for us.

St. Joseph, the spouse of Mother Mary and our foster father, pray for us.

Love One Another
